I am currently the principal operating a management consulting practice, Marketing Management, Inc.., in Honolulu, Hawaii. I have held senior management positions most notably at Hawaii Tourism Authority where I managed a $50M budget; Jardine restaurant group where I was directly responsible for marketing more than 75 restaurants in Hawaii, Guam, and British Columbia and provided consulting services for Jardine's food operations in Taiwan, Macau, and Australia; Ohana Learning, which was a high tech start-up with offices in Cupertino and Honolulu; and Ogilvy & Mather Hawaii, where I was CEO and managing director for the Hawaii branch of this international agency. I have served as national chair of the American Marketing Association (1999-2000) with 40,000 members which gives me a strong background in non-profits. I have been a senior administrator (Dean and Assistant Dean) in the University of Hawaii system and have taught management and marketing at the undergraduate and graduate levels. My MBA is in marketing and management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and my undergraduate degree is in advertising from the Medill Schoool of Journalism, also at Northwestern.
